Keep it good vibes!

We all enjoy a feel-good positive environment. Most of us enjoy that calm and happy state that feels like everything is in order and all processes are a go. Yes life is still going on but it isn’t too much to handle. You’re managing. You’re grateful for life.

Well, small things can make a difference in your day to day mood. These small things differ from person to person. For me, these are some of the things that I’ve found that help boost the positivity around me.

  1. Attitude

Simply set out to be happy and positive! Attitude is the most important. While different circumstances you find yourself in play a big role in creating positivity or negativity, if you set out to be happy no matter what, it will take a lot to bring you down.

2. Avoid triggering spaces

Whenever you can, avoid people, spaces and situations that bring you the opposite of joy. Be in this spaces only when it is in circumstances beyond your control. Like work . I have often wondered why for example people who quarrel often love to hang out together a lot!

3. Be patient with people

Learn to cut people some slack. Forgive easily, let things that are not important slide and just don’t expect perfection from people. Just the same way you are not perfect, other people too aren’t.

4. Watch the content you consume

Avoid any content that weighs you down. For example, avoid visiting some social media sites all the time, take a break from watching new (PS. Don’t let anyone blackmail you into thinking there’s anything wrong with not watching news, it’s never that serious, ok?), listen to good podcasts, read good books (oh and read books you really like, not books that others like)

5. Self care

Need we say more? Simply take care of yourself. Clean up. Take a walk. Eat food you enjoy. Exercise. Rest. Whatever you fancy.

6. Journal

Have a journal where you write down things about how you feel, where you are, what happened e.t.c This is such a good way of releasing emotions and exhaling. Try it!

7. Plan

Plan your things well. Lack of a plan will make you run around without achieving much which could mess up your days

8. Over-conforming

Don’t try too much to conform that it affects your emotions. You are unique. You have to get to a place in life where you figure out the things you like and the ones you don’t. The things you are going to do and the ones you don’t want to do. Let people get used to you. (Ps. But don’t be a jerk also)
